Stomaphyx

Hello!
I am so glad there is a forum to communicate with other patients that had the Stomaphyx procedure. I live pretty far away from San Antonio (over 4 hours), so I have been unable to go to all the wonderful support programs Dr Raja offers. I had the Stomaphyx procedure in November 2007 by Dr. Raja. I lost weight the first 10 days as a result of the mandatory liquid diet, but nothing after that. Did anyone else have a success with this procedure? I only had four fasteners placed and I feel like it may have not been enough. There was no food retention and the rapid emptying reoccurred within a month or two. Other patients that I have encountered in other forums had several more fasteners in place (like 10). So I really don't know what to think. Dr. Raja was an amazing doctor and I really liked him. I really wished I had better luck with it however since insurance did not cover it. What were your results?
